Why are my website visitors not coming back?

View all blog entries Published | 13.58, 20th of February 2009

If there is nothing different, why should they return? They have read about your offer, filed the detail away in the back of their mind and moved on. So what can you do to get them back again and what are the benefits for them to return to your website in future?

As we know a website can be a very useful business tool. However unless there are interesting, regular changes to the content you give them no reason to come back. A fundamental flaw if you want to promote a new offer or advertise new services whilst reducing valuable marketing spend on promotional activity each time there is a launch.

SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) will help however the idea is to keep first-time visitors coming back for more. Give them a reason to return then you can save advertising costs by promoting new products and services to a previously captured audience. Your website then becomes a communication portal between you and the outside world. Your existing clients will want to learn about other ways you can save their money or offer them even more return for their investment. Any new visitors will want to get involved because they can see the benefits for themselves. You stand a better chance of selling more or cross-selling to someone that has book marked your website.

You need a Content Management System (CMS) to make cost effective, regular changes to content. Artlines Media has developed Arena CMS which is as simple to use as Microsoft Word. If you make the changes to your website content yourself, considerable savings can be made over a relatively short period of time.

So log in and change your on-line news today. Start making regular changes and if you have to pay someone to do it for you then talk to us about Arena CMS now.
